Recently I went to europe for several weeks[back about 1 week ago]and now back in the land of Oz.My visa credit card was swallowed up in Warsaw and Visa replaced it temporaraily and when I get home will replace it again.
Great I thought.They did.
As soon as i activated it some phantom clown had used the card to buy games and airfares USA and Italy to the $5,000 limit i had placed on the card.
Great I say but I had never even used the card.
The bank was good and blocked the card and took responsibility.
They will involve the fraud squad..something to do with ebay use of the cards’ numbers.
How were these numbers and holders name found by others?????
It appears by the nature of the transaction that the problem lies in the bank or the visa system.
Inside job or a successful hacker into their system?.
They were careful not to exceed the $5,000 limit.
They new all I did about the card???
